Celebrated around the world for its candlelit baths and quietly romantic atmosphere, AIRE Ancient Baths arrives just in time for Valentine’s Day. Rooted in the tradition of ancient Roman, Greek, and Ottoman baths, the Spanish wellness brand now counts Toronto among its ten global destinations alongside Barcelona, Sevilla, London, Copenhagen, New York, and Chicago.

For three days only, from February 13 to 15, 2026 AIRE will offer its signature, limited-edition Valentine’s Day Experience in Toronto for the very first time. Centred on water, stillness, and shared ritual, guests are invited to embrace the luxury of time and lose themselves in a journey through AIRE’s magical thermal baths, along with relaxing massages for two performed with a soothing floral oil and warm basalt stones. Hydrating eye patches, a nourishing hair mask, chocolate treats, and more complete the decadent experience which is now booking reservations.

A Temple of Relaxation

Inspired by the tradition of ancient Roman, Greek, and Ottoman baths, the AIRE experience always takes place in restored historical buildings located in city centers. Toronto is no different.

Amidst the timeless charm of the Fashion District, AIRE finds its home in a historic Edwardian Classical building, once the office and warehouse of the Copp Clark publishing company, famously the producers of Canadian Almanac maps and textbooks, popular board games like Monopoly, and the ‘Wonderful Wizard of Oz’ series of books dating back to the early 1900s by Frank L. Baum.

A designated heritage site, AIRE Toronto’s original wood structure and towering pillars remain, preserving the character of its storied past. Today, vintage books and printing presses offer subtle echoes to the building’s history that now generously embraces the art of relaxation. Spanning 23,000 square feet, AIRE Toronto is an oasis of nine thermal baths and a range of distinctive design elements and amenities where the aroma of orange blossom fills the air.

Since ancient times, the power of contrast therapy—bathing in water at varying temperatures—has been revered for its profound physical and emotional benefit including stress reduction, a rebalancing of the body, and a boost in circulation. Guests move through the space at their own pace, guided by candlelight, silence, and the murmur of water.

AIRE Toronto Highlights include:

The Palestra Outdoor Bath — a warm open-air bath with ever-changing sky views.

The Flotarium — a saltwater bath where guests float effortlessly, as if suspended in time. Underwater music and a sense of stillness invite you to disconnect and journey inward.

The Balneum — get carried away by the energy of these dynamic jet baths as they revitalize the body and ease muscle fatigue.

Tepidarium, Caldarium, and Frigidarium baths — each reveals a distinct sensation of temperature, texture, and tranquility

Additional features include a dry sauna, steam-filled vaporium enriched with essential oils, massage rooms, and warm marble beds, with the entire environment intentionally intimate and removed from the pace of the city. In celebration of Valentine’s Day the welcome lounge will be further transformed with lush florals adding an elevated aura of romance from the moment guests step inside.

The Gift of Relaxation

Gifting AIRE means offering an immersive wellness experience. Gift cards can be purchased for individual experiences or for couples, providing flexibility for both solo escapes and shared moments.

Physical gift boxes are presented in beautifully designed red boxes, making them a tactile option for those who want something meaningful in hand. Digital gift cards provide instant delivery, for last-minute gifting without sacrificing thoughtfulness.

Reservations and gifting are available at beaire.com. The limited-edition Valentine’s Day Experience is available from February 13 – 15, starting at $680 for two. Coming Soon, a unique wine-soak experience.
2SLGBTQIA+ Wedding Photography in the Heart of Toronto

A wedding is a joyous and celebratory occasion for all couples. For LGBT couples, however a wedding takes on a special significance. After all, same-sex marriages are a relatively new phenomenon even in progressive Canada. The first country outside of Europe and the fourth country in the whole world to legalise gay marriage, Canada has played host to some truly spectacular gay weddings. This is a hard-won right for the gay community. And there’s something truly triumphant about gay weddings that’s marvellous to behold.

As a wedding photographer it is a genuine pleasure to play a part in a wide variety of diverse yet equally special wedding days. A gay wedding can be as special and wondrous as it gets.

Of course, if you prefer a more sedate and low-key concept for your big day, that can be just as beautiful in its own way. The beauty of same-sex weddings (and, indeed all contemporary weddings) is that you can embrace tradition as much or as little as you like. Let’s take a walk through some of the fundamentals of an amazing LGBT engagement and wedding…

Rings and things

An engagement ring is traditionally given and received by those who want to make a solemn commitment. However, not everyone is a huge fan of rings. Indeed, a proposal is more than acceptable without any form of twinkly token. If your intended Mr. or Mrs. would prefer a trinket more befitting their personal style an engagement watch, engagement cufflinks, an engagement earring or an engagement necklace are also perfectly appropriate.

“Coming out” to your vendors

Most vendors such as venues, wedding planners, bakers and decorators of wedding cakes, room decorations and the like will be delighted to accommodate a gay-friendly wedding. However, as upsetting as this may be, there may be some who will only cater for heterosexual couples. As such, LGBT couples face a difficult choice, whether to “come out” to their vendors straight away. The choice is ultimately up to you, although the same-sex nature of your wedding will likely go a long way towards dictating your wedding’s aesthetic and so it may be in your best interests to be honest and open from the start.

LGBT wedding readings

Your choice of wedding readings adds a splash of personal colour to your ceremony. It can put a smile on the faces of guests or reduce everyone in the room to tears. It can add a very personal brand of solemnity to your proceedings. However, finding gender neutral readings can be tricky. If there are none that strike a personal chord with you, Wedding Wire has some great ones. There are no right or wrongs. A reading can be anything from a bible passage to a few lines from your favourite book. So long as it speaks to you and your partner and the love you share, that’s all that matters.

Your vows

Traditional wedding vows are markedly heteronormative. As such, you may wish to eschew them for your own. This can be an intimidating task (nothing as momentous as wedding vows should be easy) but it can also be extremely liberating to unshackle yourself from tradition. There are no right or wrong answers here and this is a classic example of where the best thing to do is to listen to your heart. If you’re truly lost for words, however, The Knot has some cool scripts that may be useful starting points for you.

Pride is what you make of it

As a same-sex couple, it’s likely that you want to use your wedding not only as a celebration of your love for one another but as a celebration of your gay pride. The great thing is that there are numerous ways to do this, and you can be as subtle or as flamboyant with it as you like. Some LGBT couples like to layer their wedding cake with different coloured sponges to recreate the Pride rainbow flag. Other couples may choose to represent these colours in a sensational multicoloured floral bouquet. Even multi-coloured balloons can be a great way to showcase your pride in a fun and engaging way.

What matters the most is that you and your guests have an amazing time celebrating your love!

Same-Sex Weddings with Peg Evans – Toronto and Surrounding Areas

I am proud to live in a country which acknowledges the right of LGBTQ couples to be lawfully married. While it is an honour to perform ceremonies of all types, there is for me, a sense of heightened importance in performing same-sex unions.

Knowing that same-sex marriages were only legally recognized in Canada in 2001 (the fourth country in the world to do so at the time), and in 2003 in Ontario, lends an element of triumph to these ceremonies. I also feel a sense of gratitude to those who have worked and struggled to advance gay rights, making LGBTQ union ceremonies a reality.

The creative process for developing a same-sex ceremony is no different from any other ceremony. Both individuals are publicly declaring their love and commitment to each other. They are pledging to continue that love, care, and support for the rest of their lives. That said, as a ceremony expert, I recognize that same-sex unions require special awareness of their many unique elements. For example:

What do you want to call the ceremony?

What do you want to call each other?

What pronouns do you want to use?

Whatever your preference for language and logistics, I will work with you to create a ceremony that is inclusive, respectful, and most importantly, joyous.

A Guide To Wedding Rings For Same-Sex Couples – James Allen

Your wedding ring is the ultimate reflection of the lifelong commitment you’ve made to your special someone. But can it be stylish and unique to your relationship? Of course! Join us as we explore classic and contemporary designs and concepts for same-sex couple wedding bands.

Wedding Rings for Same-Sex Couples

So, you’re finally heading down the aisle, but you need that special ring that says forever and looks great?

Wedding ring shopping is far less stressful than picking out an engagement ring. Why? Well, this is something you and your partner can do together, there are a ton of classic and non-traditional rings to pick from, and you can make it as sentimental as you want.

Picking a wedding ring has about as many rules for same-sex couples as it does for any other couple. The beauty of a wedding ring is that your chosen band will always remind you of your partner whenever you catch a glimpse of it. That’s why you can let your imaginations run wild and truly get a wedding ring that you love and that reflects your relationship.

From matching wedding bands to rings with diamond accents and carved patterns, let us inspire you with our top picks for wedding rings for same-sex partners.

Matching wedding rings are a fun and sentimental choice for couples who want to be connected in a special way- like two halves of a whole. Wedding bands already carry such beautiful symbolism that getting matching bands only adds to your commitment and bond.

But there are many ways to match that aren’t a direct copy-paste. Here are some of our favorite matching wedding rings with a twist.

Traditional same-sex couple wedding bands

If you and your fiancé prefer the more traditional route, that is, plain precious metal bands, we recommend going for the classic yellow and white gold route or even platinum.

Classic wedding bands for men are usually a little thicker and also come in a variety of comfort-fit settings that can be domed, curved, or even flat.

But certainly, take your lifestyle into account. Do you or your partner work intense jobs where your hands bump into things? Do you work out often and lift weights?

If so, it might be better to invest in a set of matching rings with a stronger, more alternative metal like cobalt chrome. This is a white metal that could easily pass for gold, but it’s highly durable and scratch resistant.

Traditional wedding rings for women are usually thinner gold metal bands that would typically look aesthetically pleasing with their engagement rings. However, in some cases with lesbian couples, both partners may have an engagement ring they’d like to match their wedding band too.

This could make matching the rings a little problematic unless you’ve both got the same engagement ring metal color and even ring setting style. Alternatively, you could get matching wedding bands and wear them on the opposite hand as your engagement rings.

If only one of you has an engagement ring, things get a little easier when it comes to picking your matching rings.

Non-traditional same-sex couple wedding bands

Tradition is not for everyone, especially when your personal style or even beliefs don’t coincide. Now, we always believe that any piece of jewelry you own should reflect your personality or the meaning you hold to it.

For men, carved wedding rings can add that hint of your personality with an element of modern style. These rings come in a variety of precious and alternative metals and popular two-toned options. Carved wedding rings for men aren’t just perfect for matching with your partner, but they’re also trendy and can elevate your look- from your wedding attire to your everyday outfits.

For our non-traditional ladies, we have a few stunning options up our sleeve. Maybe the best way to match without really matching is by picking the same metal color but having different designs?

Here, you both have some leeway to add elements of your personal style to your bands but keep the foundation of your rings the same.

Diamond & Gemstone Wedding Rings

While most wedding band styles steer away from flashy diamond or gemstone accents, there really is no rule saying you can’t have them.

Eternity rings are another top choice as diamond wedding rings for same-sex couples. The romantic symbolism is undeniable and perfectly represents forever, with added sparkle!

Eternity and diamond stone rings can also be customized to fit your individual preferences. Let your partner know which diamond shape you prefer and what size suits you best. A dainty diamond band is perfect if it’ll sit alongside an engagement ring, alone, or stacked with your other favorite pieces. Thicker eternity rings are better as standalone pieces.

If you and your fiancé chose not to get engagement rings, then an eternity or diamond ring is a stunning choice as a wedding ring that can still give you dazzling diamond brilliance.

Contemporary Wedding Rings For Same-Sex Couples

Is your or your partner’s style more out there and daring? If one or both of you want a truly unique wedding ring, opt for a patterned design.

What we love most about rings with imagery, uniquely placed accents, and metal shaping is that they will always feel like they were made just for you. They’re so different and often theme-specific that you will have a deep connection to your ring above and beyond its ceremonial meaning.

The best thing about contemporary wedding rings is the fact that they can mirror your interests. If you love nature or nature-inspired jewelry, there are patterned wedding bands that can reflect that.

Wedding Rings For Same-Sex Couples FAQs

Do we need matching wedding rings?

The short answer is no. Matching wedding rings for same-sex partners is no more mandatory than it is for heterosexual couples. Matching rings is a personal choice you and your partner can make together.

Which hand do we wear our rings on?

Same-sex couples have been known to wear their rings in a number of different ways. From the traditional way with the ring worn on the left hand, to both partners wearing their rings on their right hands. In the end, you should decide on the hand that is most comfortable for you.

Should we customize our wedding rings?

Customized wedding rings can add a particularly personal touch to an already significant day. If you and your partner would like to customize your wedding bands, there are plenty of places to do so in-store and online.

Should we shop together for wedding rings?

You can shop together if you’ve both planned the style of your wedding rings, or you’d like to be there to choose your own. Of course, if you want it to be a surprise, you can always drop a hint to your partner and hope for the best.

Do we have to buy each other wedding rings?

You and your significant other don’t have to buy wedding rings. Whether you don’t believe in the symbolism or you aren’t jewelry folks, it’s always up to you! There are no right or wrong ways to tie the knot.

Should we engrave our wedding bands?

As a couple, getting your wedding bands engraved is a common and often thoughtful gesture to mark the rest of your lives together.

Community Based Research Centre (CBRC) promotes the health of people of diverse sexualities and genders through research and intervention development. After years of advocacy by gay, bisexual, trans, Two-Spirit, and queer people (GBT2Q) for increased testing options, Canada’s first HIV self-test was approved on November 2, 2020!

Approximately 14% of people in Canada living with HIV are unaware of their status and don’t have access to treatment. With the introduction of HIV self-testing, community members now have a new option to manage their sexual health on their terms. This new technology has the potential to reach those who experience barriers within a testing system not designed to work for them.

“Many people do not come forward because of stigma. Having more accessible tests and low barrier options is critical for people to get tested so they know their status,” says Dr. Sean Rourke, the principal investigator who led the work to study the performance, acceptance, and usability of the INSTI HIV self test that played a critical role in the license application.

Community-Based Research Centre, as part of the CIHR Centre for REACH 3.0, will be working alongside GBT2Q community members to explore the feasibility, acceptability and uptake of HIV self-testing. “The introduction of HIV self-testing is long overdue and the next challenge is facilitating access to those most marginalized within GBT2Q communities,” says Chris Draenos, RN, CBRC’s National HIV and STBBI Testing and Implementation Manager.

“Testing is key to HIV prevention efforts, and the recent availability of HIV self-testing kits in Canada has the potential to reach more 2S/LGBTQIA+ people living with undiagnosed HIV and link them to treatment and care, so that they can achieve an undetectable viral load, meaning they cannot pass HIV on to others,” said Brook Biggin, CBRC’s Interim Executive Director. “Through a partnership with the Public Health Agency of Canada, dozens of community-based organizations, and queer- and trans-owned businesses, we’ll be providing 15,000 free HIV self-test kits to queer and trans folks in Canada, through three programs designed to remove common barriers to testing.”

The three-pronged program consists of the following:

Test Now: CBRC will provide free HIV self-test kits to 2S/LGBTQIA+ folks through a network of dozens of community-based organizations and queer/trans-owned or friendly businesses (e.g., bars, bathhouses and bookstores) across Canada. With low barriers to access, Test Now makes obtaining HIV self-test kits as simple as going to a local community-based organization or trusted business and leaving with as many kits as you need. Note: This program will roll out through December, with more organizations and businesses added to the list as they come onboard. More info: www.cbrc.net/test_now_community_edition

Test@Home: For those who want further comfort and confidentiality, or who might live outside of urban centres, this program will mail up to four HIV self-test kits, shipped in discreet packaging, to an address of one’s choice for folks to use themselves or share with friends or people in their sexual or social networks. More info: www.cbrc.net/test_at_home

Medicine Bundle: Designed by and for Two-Spirit and queer Indigenous people, CBRC’s Two-Spirit Team will provide a special Medicine Bundle in what is colonially known as Britisth Columbia. These packages include, various Indigenous medicines (e.g. sage, sweetgrass, tobacco, cedar, lavender, etc.), an HIV self-test kit, and additional sexual health resources. The purpose of this bundle is to bring the sacredness back into sex and give folks access to a holistic approach to one’s sexual health needs. More info: www.cbrc.net/medicinebundle.

Through pilot versions of some of these programs, CBRC has already been able get 8,856 HIV self-test kits into the hands of queer and trans folks in the country.

CBRC have created two videos to draw attention to HIV self-testing–a ground-breaking option currently available in Canada. Starring Canadian model Travis L’Henaff (who you might recognize from Canada’s Drag Race), the short videos offer a primer on the new INSTI HIV Self Test–a rapid, single-use test kit that detects HIV antibodies in minutes using a drop of blood.

In the first video, L’Henaff speaks frankly on camera about his own experience testing positive and the importance of knowing your status and working to eradicate HIV-related stigma.

In the second, he demystifies the process of taking the self-test by doing one himself and sharing his own positive result.

“After you test positive, you have some knowledge and knowledge is power,” says L’Henaff. “You can start to make some informed decisions at your own pace on how you want to tackle your new HIV status.”

In addition to the videos, CBRC’s National STBBI Testing and Linkage Implementation Manager, Chris Draenos, has published a blog post about how this new self-testing technology has the potential to reach people who experience barriers to testing.

Avid hardcore cyclists often balk at the mention of electric bikes, claiming that they are not traditional pedal bikes, it doesn’t negate the fact that there’s a market for pedal-assist type transportation. Now, what if you could keep your traditional pedal bike, with an added option to convert it to an e-bike for that additional push power when it’s most needed?

Swytch Bike has just the solution with their easy to install conversion kit. The world’s smallest and lightest e-bike conversion kit allows you to convert your current pedal bicycle into an electric powered one, saving you the cost of having to buy a separate full bike.

SNAPSHOT REVIEW

I was particularly interested in this conversion kit for a couple of reasons – ease of installation, savings from having to purchase a separate e-bike, and flexibility to change between my road and mountain bikes. In the end, I was satisfied on all levels.

Assembly took a couple of hours, by the time I read all the instructions that were included, as well as pertinent details on the website, and watching a couple short videos. Once started, everything was fairly simple. Basically it’s swapping out your original rim for the one included with the kit, then putting the tube and tire back on. Hooking up the battery back with the handlebar connector and pedal sensor was easy, which also makes it easy to uninstall and use on another bike.

As for distance, I was able to get a full day of riding in with distances up to 60 or 70 kms when using it mostly for inclines. When cycling on flat surfaces, I put it on the lowest level to save power. Charging overnight is the best option, as you’re ready to go the next day should you wish, which makes it great for multi-day trips. The ease of removing the battery pack makes it great for those short stops to pick up items, or grab a bite somewhere. Unlike traditional e-bikes that have a more clunkier, and obvious, battery pack on the frame, this kit is small and looks like a handlebar carry pack. Sleek and simple, this Swytch Bike kit is all you need to add a bit of extra power to your ride without having to buy a new bike!

The universal kit is easy-to-fit, both rim and disc-brake compatible, and works on both road and mountain bikes, and there’s even a kit for foldies and trikes. All kits are built to order, allowing you to customize the hub motor to fit any size rim. All parts within the kit are user-upgradable with no specialist tools required.

There are two tiers of product specifications for the Power Pack; ECO and PRO, both offering 5 levels of power assist, and easily removeable for when locking your bike outdoors. The PRO contains higher-capacity cells than the ECO, increasing the total range by 30% from 35km to 50km based on a medium use power range, with no added weight (1.5kg for either the ECO or the PRO). The added weight of the wheel with motor weight is approximately another 1.5kg, which is the motor hub weight, and the weight of rims and spokes.

All-in-all, this is a very light conversion kit that won’t slow you down. If you pedal harder and put the power down or use it only on inclines, you can expect a 50% longer range. If you don’t pedal at all, expect a 50% less range, and if you don’t pedal and put the power up to maximum, expect 75% less range. So, basically use it as a pedal assist option for maximum enjoyment.

The internal system uses sophisticated, bespoke software to decide how much power to deliver while you cycle. The controller in the Power Pack measures your cadence, the motor speed, temperature, acceleration, battery voltage, throttle sensor and brake sensor to generate a sine-wave signal for a smooth, quiet ride. The current-based control algorithm ensures that the acceleration is smooth and responsive to changes in riding conditions. The display on the top shows the battery level and allows the user to change power level as necessary.

The Swytch Bike kit includes absolutely everything you need to convert your bike. It includes a complete motor wheel in any size, built to order. The battery is included inside the power pack, which also contains the controller and electronics. You also get the handlebar connector, the pedal sensor, battery charger, and an instructions manual. Just take off your old wheel and replace it with the new Swytch motor wheel. Then fit the pedal sensor by the pedals, and put the connector onto the handlebars. Then, simply click on the power pack and you’re good to go! Installation typically takes 10 minutes and then you can Swytch instantly between bike and eBike thanks to the patented quick-connect bracket mechanism and removable lightweight power pack. NOTE: I’d allow a couple hours for installation.

Any size wheel can be pre-ordered and custom made, however the most common 26″ and 28″ wheel sizes are typically in stock at any given time, as these cover 80% of bikes in the market. There is a 1-year warranty, and lifetime support on the conversion kits, giving you plenty of time, and peace of mind to enjoy your new purchase. Pre-ordering your kit in advance will often save you up to half the price. Watch for specials on the website.

Love Out Loud is a unique new company created by Suzy Patz. Her goal is to give back to as many LGBTQ charities as possible by the end of 2021.

If you were to look at Suzy Patz, you wouldn’t initially be intimidated – small stature, a big smile on her face – but if you knew what she’s been through, what she’s overcome, and what she’s doing now, you might just call her iconic.

The Davis, California native took an unconventional road to starting her business, Love Out Loud.

Imagine for a moment the possibilities if you were able to reset your mind. The intrusive fear and powerful doubt that incessantly increases over time to protect ourselves from possible failure, would suddenly disappear. An immunity from hesitation to live your life. I have never known anyone that has experienced change or growth quite like this until I spoke with Suzy Patz.

The idea for Love Out Loud was born from this fearless mindset.

The spark that lit the flame came from an early morning interaction in 2019 with a sarcastic valet in Los Angeles who may have also been moonlighting on weekends as a comedian (The Comedy Union club IS just down the street).

“Smuggling a body?” the valet asked upon seeing the enormous size of Patz’s suitcase and hearing that she had only stayed for one night. “Bodies.” Patz returned, smiling. “I was so nervous about a speaking engagement that day and with that one unexpected, totally off-color comment, he completely lifted those nerves.” Patz tipped the valet $20. “He then ran up, knocking on the window of my car to let me know I’d tipped him $20. When I told him it was intentional, he was so surprised, he thanked me profusely, and offered to run to get me a coffee at Starbucks!”

Patz recognized the incredible power, in that moment, they both had to positively impact each other’s lives.

“We so often like the posts on social media of people doing good, our hearts swell as we watch the videos, but as we go about our regular days, get caught in the grind, we forget. We forget to connect with each other, create those little, simple moments that have such a big impact.” says Patz. “That interaction was my a-ha moment.”

The mission of Love Out Loud is to change the conversation people have with themselves. To help people see each other as opportunities for kindness, not obstacles to move around. It is an idea born without fear, without doubt, with endless possibilities, from a woman who believes we can change the world one small act at a time through gifts familiar to all of us – kindness, community, and love. “We will do this by providing a mobile application experience that includes one of the most current and effective forms of encouraging connection and interaction globally. We are here to positively and significantly impact how people see themselves, those around them, and empower a nonprofit’s ability to generate donations and visibility with ongoing engagement.”

Only from tragedy do true flames rise.

What the valet hadn’t known was the reason WHY Patz’s suitcase was so large. “A year and a half earlier I had suffered brain damage. I went out for a run and a young man, who was distracted driving, hit me with his car. Two brain hematomas and a cracked skull. It has been a difficult and long recovery. The huge suitcase was because of my challenge with sleep. I take a large fluffy blanket with me everywhere! But again, he didn’t know that, and it was actually nice to have someone make the giant suitcase situation funny…because it was!”

Brain injury was a life reset for Patz. She came out a different person. “I was still me on some levels, but with a drive I’ve never known before. With a purpose I had never realized before. I now understood how to get things done and keep going when things got tough. I went from hiding behind a desk, to speaking in front of groups of up to 500 people. Nothing stops me now. I was given the chance to be reborn at 41 years old. I took it and have been running with it ever since.”

This year, the goal of Love Out Loud is to partner with over 100 charities nationwide and create a community of 24,000 people. Patz has had conversations with festival organizers to bring her disruptive community of goodness and infuse upcoming outdoor events this summer. At such a perfect time, too, as things are opening and people need a little additional support in re-learning how to interact with each other again! Love Out Loud will also be engaging the local and favorite charities in the communities for these events. The ripple just continues.

Love Out Loud creates an open source for everyone to find causes they want to give back to all in one place, virtually, an App Store for nonprofits. “Often when people donate, they immediately go to charities they are familiar with, out of convenience or even habit. Love Out Loud will provide visibility to LGBTQ charities that may previously have been underserved or not on someone’s radar.”

“We are big believers that love is love. As a gamified goodness app, we are finding our main audience is Gen Z and Millennials. They are the most diverse generations in American history and are consistently pushing for inclusion and diversity in brands and companies. These generations will be the true heroes for LGBTQ inclusion and community, and we are happy we can give these changemakers a platform that allows them to further their message.”

Each time someone posts their good deed in the Love Out Loud app, the company gives money to charity. The company then tallies all the charity totals at the end of each month and sends a check to the respective organizations. “A question everyone seems to have is ‘where does the money come from’. Fortunately, we aren’t the only ones passionate about spreading the good.” Love Out Loud is funded by people who want to see good go global, both individual and corporate parties.

In fact, you can give on their website at any time, or reach out directly if you want to be a part of their mission. LGBTQ charities looking to be a part of Love Out Loud can email wewill@loveoutloud.app. Every charity represented will be confirmed through Benevity, a company that has vetted over 2 million nonprofits worldwide.

As Patz reflects on the past few years of her life, she recognizes the gifts she’s been given. Four years prior to brain damage, she was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer, resistant to chemo, that only 3% of the population will get – triple negative breast cancer. “It was a great challenge and it set me up for the strength I would need to get through the months/years after brain damage. I am grateful for both. In fact, it’s because of brain damage, getting hit by a car, that I’m able to do what I’m doing now.”

Iconic, indeed.

As the lockdowns continue around the world, many are starting to get the itch…ya that itch. For intimacy, human contact, sex, and self-pleasure. So what’s one to do if locked down in solo isolation? The answer: sex toys!

Why not grab something to make this year memorable for more reasons than one?

The idea behind the brand LELO started in 2003, in the front room of a Stockholm townhouse, where three designers coalesced at exactly the right place and the right time, with exactly the right idea. It was an idea that would eventually reshape and transcend the confines of an entire industry, and it began with a simple question: What if our most intimate items were made as beautiful as the ones we displayed with the most pride?

Now in their second decade of producing the most refined, most luxurious, and most iconic objects of desire in the world, LELO has established a heritage based on quality, on unexpected innovation, and on being entirely different from everything and everyone else. Their products are designed for all genders and sexualities, and their website is one of the best for providing detailed information, facts, and product videos. The company also provides full warranties for all products purchased.

Below are two of their newer product offerings that are available for online purchase, with shipping options available worldwide in discreet mailings, with attractive product packaging.

Billy 2

This prostate massage comes with eight pleasure settings and even more power, making it the all-in-one toy for whatever mood you’re in. It’s made with soft silicone, is 100% waterproof, and USB-rechargeable, so no worries about having batteries on hand, or any issues with tidying up after use. Being waterproof also means it’s good for use in the shower or tub as well.

So what are you waiting for? Grab hold, start slow, and ramp up to a final climax with the curved tapered design that reaches all the right spots!

F1s Developers Kit Red

The world’s first SenSonic sextech console for men is here! Featuring 10 sensors, it bridges the gap between science and nature with next generation pleasure. Using powerfully intense dual motors, Cruise Control, and LELO’s revolutionary SenSonic technology, F1s massages with deeply satisfying sonic waves for an entirely new, completely mind-blowing sexual experience. Or better yet, utilize the free SDK (software development kit) to create your very own sensations and track your progress through the customizable internal sensors.

Yes, this may seem a bit intimidating and over-the-top for someone just seeking a bit of self-pleasure, but it’s actually quite easy to navigate using LELO’s simplistic instruction manuals and videos. An exclusive LELO app will become available to you when your product is shipped, compatible with iOS and Android. Connected by Bluetooth, the app allows you greater and closer control over your personal pleasure. With the app, you truly put pleasure at your fingertips. Take a look at this video to get an idea of the technology within this futuristic product.

Instead of standard vibrations, one of the motors emits powerful sonic waves that permeate deep into your penis, making it feel as though it’s resonating pleasurably from all directions all at once, instead of simply tickling the nerve endings on the surface of your skin. It will most definitely help you achieve the most overwhelming orgasms of your life.

This product is designed with a sturdy aluminum exterior shell, and a built in window that allows users to have a view of the action taking place inside its smooth interior. It can also be used without using the phone technology, by way of the built in manual switches. The noise-free operation makes it perfect for use most anywhere, and the compact size makes is a great travel companion. After an easy clean up, you’re ready to go for round two!

LELO is by far one of the more top-end, luxurious, sensual toy makers on the market. For those seeking the ultimate double pleasure, why not grab both products and completely satisfy your needs from front to back?

My name is Amy Lynn Vaughan-Dolson.
It took me a long time to figure out how I feel. I didn’t know that you could be asexual.
Gay and bisexual men are up to three times more likely to report depression and anxiety than the general population. Good Head is a website for guys into guys (G2G) to learn and get curious about the mental health issues affecting gay, bisexual, queer, questioning, two-spirit, gender queer, gender non-binary, trans, and other guys who are sexually and/or romantically interested in other guys and their communities and to help them locate mental health services in Ontario.

For those who are struggling, there are many options known to be effective for improving mental health, such as taking medication, attending peer support groups, and doing “talk therapy.” This website focuses specifically on psychotherapy, also called “talk therapy”, because it’s one of the most widely used, effective, and efficient methods for reducing mental distress and for increasing mental and emotional well-being. However, that’s not to say it’s the only way to support mental health, or that you can’t combine several different types of treatment. In fact, it’s actually a very good idea to be open and curious to the various ways that you can nurture your mental health.

There are different types of people who can help care for your mental health. Some mental health care providers in Ontario are governed by professional colleges, which means that they must have completed certain training requirements, abide by a code of conduct, and receive regular continuing education to maintain their professional registration. The role of professional colleges is to protect the public interest by ensuring that individuals receive competent and ethical professional services. Other people and mental health professionals are not regulated in this way but may still be helpful to you.

Finding the right mental health care provider takes time and effort. But it can be well worth it! Try not to be discouraged if you don’t immediately find something that works for you. The relationship with your mental health care practitioner is important, but even the most competent, caring provider won’t be a good fit for every person.

Be curious about what’s out there and don’t be afraid to advocate for yourself to find the best provider for you. Most mental health care providers know that you need to find a good fit and they should understand if you need to try something different, somewhere else.

The following article was written by Brian Falduto, The LGBT Life Coach.

Whether it was something you started brainstorming right away or something that occurred to you somewhere along in the quarantined state of the world, “How can I use this time to reinvent myself?” is likely a question you’ve thought about in the past however many weeks or so. We are in the slow but sure process of unfreezing things and that thawing process is coincidentally coinciding with Pride Season. I feel it’s a good time to discuss how the queer community specifically can “come out” of this stronger as our resilient type tend to do after trying times.

I remember when I finally came out of the closet my senior year of college, I wanted the world to stop for a moment. At that time, when the truth about who I was became non-negotiable, I didn’t know that coming out is actually a healing process. I didn’t know that I would have to spend the next chapter of my life battling 14 years of internalized homophobia and discovering a rejected self that was hidden in shame. Instead, I just waltzed into my twenties completely out of tune with who I was and with very little time to figure it out. I had to navigate my new role as a gay man while finishing college, getting a job, ending a relationship, moving into my first apartment, and all the while having to provide status updates to friends and family that were anything but reflective of what was going on inside.

During this healing chapter I didn’t know I was entering, the most important improvements on my relationship with myself have come during the quiet moments. They’ve often arrived right when I’ve started to slow down, or even more often when I’ve crashed and burned from going too fast. They’ve arrived on nights where I was alone with nothing but my own thoughts and feelings to keep me company. And they’ve arrived in the form of hurt. When I look back at some of the perceived tragedies of my twenties, I see that they were actually the biggest moments of growth.

Quiet. Loneliness. Tragedy. Does any of the above sound familiar? Look, we all know at its core that this pandemic is a bad thing with a negative impact. It comes with so many unanswered questions and troubling concerns. But I’d like to propose an additional way of looking at it and that is as the healing time that I, and perhaps we, have been waiting for.

If you think about what being in the closet is, it’s a form of compartmentalization where we disassociate from aspects of ourselves that don’t feel important or worthy enough to present to the world. Those beautifully valid parts of our being get tucked away in the back of our mind and covered with lies and then when the lies get removed, there’s still shame and so then we cover up even more with busy schedules and vibrant social lives and beautiful photos of ourselves posted on Instagram so that no one has to see or deal with the real core of the problem which generally tends to be a lack of love for ourselves. After all, we don’t know who it is that we are loving because we haven’t had the chance to heal. The amount of instant pride we expect from those that come out as LGBTQ after living an incomplete life is basically what it’d be like to ask a brand new dancer to perform triple pirouettes proudly even though they’ve never tried anything like that before.

If this time of being quarantined has been particularly difficult for you, a good question to ask is, “Why?” And pay attention to what comes up. Is it something you’ve been avoiding? For me, some of the difficult moments have been the uncomfortable ones where I’ve realized how many aspects of myself were still being skipped over with the hustle and bustle of normal life. When these thoughts and feelings get uncovered after years of collecting dust, they can be a bit surprising. And as anyone who’s ever been in a haunted house knows, not all surprises feel good.

I love Pride Season. I love getting my shortest shorts on and coordinating tank top colors with my friends. I love partying and celebrating a part of myself I never thought I’d even acknowledge, never mind flaunt around the West Village. And it’s okay to grieve the loss of all that. But what if this June is a little less about pride and a little more about healing? It is yourself that you should be most proud of anyway so who better to celebrate it with than you. Perhaps if we get a little quiet with ourselves this year, we can be even louder & prouder next year than we’ve ever been before.

I wrote this piece prior to the recent current events involving the Black Lives Matter movement. I want to add that I stand in full support of that messaging and I encourage everyone inside and outside the LGBTQ community to get loud and take the action needed against racial injustice. Let us remember, though, what the Lesbian American writer, feminist, womanist, librarian, and civil rights activist Audre Lorde said, “Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation and that is an act of political warfare.” On the topic of healing, it’s clear that America needs just as much healing as prescribed above for LGBTQ persons, if not more. Let us make sure we lead that effort by doing that work on ourselves while we stand up for what we believe in. We can be of better help this way as it is physically impossible to pour from an empty cup.

After the decriminalisation of section 377, the Indian queer community is opening up, but their struggle reamain the same. Despite the discrimination and social judgements, these sections are thriving and sticking to their identities – secretly or openly.

Ten inspiring people from various sections of the queer community of Mumbai and surrounding areas will be featured in the first season of ‘Closet to Kitchen with Nakshatra Bagwe’.Presented by swagdeal.in and paramplay.com, the show is set to release on Paramplay website and app in August, 2019.

A plate of sumptuous delicacies binds hearts, brings people together, and makes you independent. These are all aspects that are a stepping stone for the queer community to sail through an ostracized life. Struggling with acceptance and self-identity, the fear of coming out of the closet, and standing strong in the face of loneliness are some of the silver linings of this community. Cooking is indeed an exquisite talent misunderstood and lost as a basic need for masses, especially for the queer community to survive an independent life.

Nakshatra Bagwe, the host, will visit homes of inspiring ‘cooks/chefs’ (in some cases a couple or a family) from the queer community. The participant will highlight and paint their interesting journey from ‘closet to kitchen’. They then will demonstrate a recipe or two for the viewers while having a casual conversation with the host.

The idea is to highlight the struggle and fighting spirit of the queer community, and also to teach new recipes to the viewers. Different sections of the queer community from diverse class, religion, social and regional backgrounds will be spotlighted. From a professional chef to someone who had to learn cooking for the survival, from a small room in chawl to a bungalow, the struggle could be different- positive or even negative, but two things stay common in all – they all want to smile and they love cooking! Along with motivating viewers to hit the kitchen and learn cooking or new recipes, these stories will help people to come out of the closet and to be themselves.
