Crystal Head Vodka has created a unique position in the alcohol beverage market place by way of their iconic skull head collectible bottles. Now, there’s a new product that’s a hybrid between their award-winning vodka, with hints of tequila. And yes, a new bottle to add to the collection!

Onyx is a unique new expression that’s crafted from premium Blue Weber Agave and sourced from a single farm in Mexico. The bottle has a luxurious black finish with a matching crest debossed cap, celebrating the powerful warrior crystal, Onyx. Sharing its powers of intuition, focus, positivity and protection to those who keep it close. Onyx holds connection to our earth with its protective energy allowing in no light. Onyx combines all colours of the spectrum and is said to absorb negativity; the darker the stone, the more energy it holds. Crafted from Blue Weber Agave, Onyx acts as a symbol of the human journey. Agave Nectar has a bland taste making it ideal for those who don’t want a large flavor difference in their recipe when choosing an alternative sweetener. Agave does have either a light or dark amber color – the darker it is the closer it tastes to honey.

It is a focus on positivity, calling on one’s inner creative spirit. Like all Crystal Head expressions, Onyx is blended with the purest water from Newfoundland, Canada. This gives the final product a clean and semi-sweet finish. Staying true to Crystal Head values, Onyx does not contain any oils, sugars or additives. Fresh green grass nuanced white pepper and hints of citrus on the nose. Soft and smooth with a touch of spice and sweetness which develop into the subtle, yet unmistakable earthy grip of agave. A medium finish of green grass, pepper and citrus.

So what’s the final word on this? It’s definitely unique in flavour, something that can easily be consumed straight up with ice, or mixed with your favourite juices. For those who love their iconic Canadian Bloody Caesar, Onyx is the perfect blended combination. Toss in some extra heat with chili peppers, Canadian hot sauce, and finish with Canada’s Walter Craft Caesar mix, and you’re set for those cooler fall nights ahead.

Pick up a bottle at your local LCBO, or order directly from the distiller. Then, to get you started, here are a couple more recipes created specifically for use with Onyx. Or create something unique on your own to enjoy over the spookiest of days.
