Tawse Wine & Spirits have released their newest spirits product, Barrel-Aged Canadian Whisky. This new addition will join the spirits line alongside gin, organic vodka, vermouth, and La Pressaturas. Situated on the lower slopes of the Niagara Escarpment, Tawse is a family-owned winery, voted Canada’s Winery of the Year in 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2016. Since branching out to spirits and ciders,  more awards and accolades are sure to follow.

This first release of Canadian Whisky is made from 100% corn, expertly blended and aged in American Oak for three years. The Whisky was then aged a further 15-months in Tawse Pinot Noir French oak barrels. The result is a smooth amber coloured whisky, with aromas of toast, vanilla, and crème Brule. Make no mistake though, this is a traditional whisky recipe crafted in small batches that offers a fresh, bountiful drinking experience, perfect for holiday celebrations and other special occasions.

“We are so happy with how this Whisky turned out”, said Paul Pender, Director of Winemaking and Viticulture, Tawse Winery.“It’s smooth, with vanilla, smokiness and hints of butterscotch. It’s absolutely delicious, I am very proud of this Whisky”.

This whisky is smooth enough to drink straight up, or on-the-rocks, however there’s also a list of signature cocktails featuring the whisky and other Tawse spirits available on the website.

Limited quantities of Barrel-Age Canadian Whisky are available onsite and online – $39.95
