Steam Whistle Brewing has been making their traditional pilsner in their trademark green bottle and green can for the past 20 years. What started as a fireside dream hatched by “The Three Fired Guys” has turned into one of Canada’s most successful craft breweries.

I’ve been a fan of their pilsner since the beginning and always wondered why they didn’t expand their product portfolio. Well now, two decades later, they finally have! They’ve not only created three new brews of their own, but they’ve also collaborated with New Belgium Brewing out of Colorado to produce two of their top brews.

Their latest creation is a seasonal Harvest Lager, that is currently available at the LCBO in very limited quantities. This medium amber lager has aromas of toasted malt and caramel that are perfect for fall. With a balanced flavour and finish, you can enjoy this crisp tasting sessional beer that is packed with flavour, without sacrificing drinkability. Be sure to grab yours today before they’re all gone.

The Premium Pale Ale is the first launch to follow the flagship Pilsner, and has quickly become a favourite among beer drinkers looking for a more hop forward beer. It proudly holds the Gold Award for English Pale Ales from the Canadian Brewing Awards.

The newest addition to the Steam Whistle family is the Session Lager, which is light in calories, but not on taste.

Steam Whistle Brewing has started a partnership with New Belgium Brewing, one of the world’s leading craft breweries, to brew its two popular brands for the Canadian market. Steam Whistle is now brewing Voodoo Ranger IPA alongside Fat Tire Amber Ale, marketing and distributing the beer inspired by Belgian brewing traditions across the country.

The Voodoo Ranger IPA is a light golden, bright with a little particulate, medium-thin white foam. It offers a clean finish with medium body, at 7% ABV.

Fat Tire is a clear, amber and bright with white lacing. Sweet biscuity and caramel malts, subtle notes of fresh fennel and green apple. Toasty malt, gentle sweetness, flash of fresh hop bitterness. The malt and hops are perfectly balanced. Carbonation and light sweetness finish clean on your palate with a medium body.

So there you have it. Steam Whistle now offers six different beers to match any palette. This makes for the perfect six-pack sampler for yourself, or presenting as a gift to someone. Cheers!
