Finance/Insurance
Assuming Can Cause Disaster
If you love at least one person, you need life insurance. Life insurance is essentially money which can replace lost income and secure the financial future of the ones you love in the event of your passing away. It is one of the building blocks of a solid financial plan to ensure that the ones you love do not experience the financial ruin that can ensue, on top of the emotional trauma that will follow at the time of your passing.
Your ability to qualify for life insurance depends on a number of factors including age, height, weight, and occupation to name a few. Most insurance companies tend to heavily rate (charge higher premiums) or decline to provide coverage altogether if the applicant has any serious or life threatening medical conditions, and many companies will also decline to provide coverage based on weight.
Consequently many people with serious medical conditions automatically assume that they can’t qualify for insurance and needlessly leave their families exposed to potential financial disaster. The truth is many Canadians who have been diagnosed with serious medical conditions (including Type 1 diabetes, stroke, heart attack, HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis, kidney disease, rheumatoid arthritis, major depression, bipolar disorder, crohn’s disease, hepatitis b or c, chronic obesity, cystic fibrosis and cancer) have applied for and qualified for life insurance.
Even if you have been declined in the past, you can qualify with no medical exams, needles or doctors reports, so you don’t have to leave the ones you love (including yourself) without the protection you want to provide.
Deflate the elephant in the room and don’t assume you can’t or won’t qualify for the coverage you need, instead call or visit www.lgbtinsurance.ca and I would be more than happy to help you protect what’s really important.
