Caribbean Pride will take over CHIC Punta Cana from September 16 to 23, 2017, for a week-long celebration of pride, diversity and community. With Punta Cana’s sexiest and most luxurious all-inclusive resort as the venue, this event will be filled with fun activities, tons of entertainment including international DJs and drag performances, and sets the standard for future Caribbean Pride Weeks all through the tropics. Toronto’s own Miss Conception will be the official host for this event.
Things are heating up in anticipation of the first ever Caribbean Pride Week with the announcement of two exciting entertainers for this event this fall in Punta Cana. Toronto’s Miss Conception will be performing live shows throughout the week, while New York DJ Johnny Dynell will keep the party going day and night. The inaugural Caribbean Pride event is at the luxury adults-only social vacation experience, CHIC Punta Cana.
Branded as a Female Delusionist®, Miss Conception regularly sells out across the globe with live singing shows featuring comedy, non-stop costume changes and so much more. A true legend in the Toronto LGBT community, Miss Conception reigns with titles that include the first Miss Continental Canada, Miss Smirnoff Twisted, Coors Lite Queen of Halloween, Ontario’s Next Top Drag Queen, Miss Gay Universe, Miss Gay Toronto, and Entertainer of the Year. Find Miss Conception in the private CHIC Mansion, and around the resort where she’ll host Bath & Beauty contest and other surprise events.
Popular New York performer, DJ Johnny Dynell will bring a lively soundtrack to poolside parties and after dark discos, showcasing his unique style that has made him a fixture at some of the hottest parties on the international circuit and in NYC’s LGBT scene, hosting parties for Andy Warhol and Elton John. DJ Dynell’s music has led to collaboration with talent such as Fatboy Slim and Tensnake and songs like ‘Jam Hot’ have climbed Billboard’s Hot 100 list since the early 1980s. With over three decades of experience DJ Johnny Dynell is sure to keep the proud crowd dancing sun-up to sun-down from CHIC’s own poolside DJ booth. Also joining the party is Miami’s top LGBT DJ Citizen Jane.
“We are proud to join in the annual pride celebrations that take place all around the world,” said Jordi Pelfort, Managing Director at CHIC. “It’s the perfect time for us to show the global LGBT community we’re standing alongside them, and we want to give everyone a welcoming and inclusive experience.”
