Last summer, poetry lovers/haters gathered on the patio at Buddies in Bad Time Theatre to read and write their own musings on life, love, and the pandemic. Spurred from the mind of Patricia Wilson. along with the careful editing of host and writer David Bateman, the Pandemic Poetry Project has been published.

19 of the 26 poets have participated both this summer and last summer since the poetry patio began. The readings continue on Sundays beginning around 5pm. There’s also an option for people to write a spontaneous poem and read it at at the start of the event, which was originated by poet Steve Keil.

Stop by during operating hours and get your copy of this poetry chap book featuring writers from summer 2020. The patio bar is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 4pm to 10pm. You can also pick up a copy at Glad Day Bookshop.

Patio poetry happens every Sunday at 5PM. Sign up in person beginning at 4:30PM. Limited spots available.
