The 519 will commemorate the 22nd anniversary of Trans Day of Remembrance (TDoR) on Saturday, November 20, 2021. This year’s community-chosen theme is “A Circle for Healing and Regenerating”. Join us virtually to celebrate and honour the lives of the 2 Spirit, trans, and non-binary siblings we have lost to transphobia, hate crimes, illness, substance use, suicide, or murder.

Highlights:

  • Opening ceremony featuring the Circle of Cedar Singers, and a moment of silence, followed by
  • Speakers and community performances.

The event will be streamed via Zoom. You will receive a link to the event a couple of hours before it begins. 2-Spirit, trans, and non-binary folks can pick up a free takeaway meal to enjoy during the virtual event. Email Meals@The519.org to arrange for your pick-up. Delivery may be available.
