Quebec produced Dirty Devil Vodka is now available at the LCBO in Ontario. Beyond the intriguing and seductive name, it’s actually a deliciously tasting vodka presented in a delightfully designed bottle. With the holidays upon us, who wouldn’t want to get a bit dirty and devilish between all those family commitments? Hands up!

So what makes this vodka different from others currently on the market? It uses  an innovative “hyper-oxygenation” process to increase the amount of oxygen in the blending water. It’s then distilled five times and filtered three times before blending with hyper-oxygenated water to reach a slightly devilish 42% ABV (84 proof). With this technology and craft production methods, they are able to create an ultra-premium-quality vodka with unmatched smoothness and great taste at an accessible price.  It’s also gluten-free and  made with Canadian corn spirit.

SNAPSHOT REVIEW

As with any spirit, the true test of taste is to first try it straight up, neat. This gives the palette an opportunity to savor the cleanliness of aromas that can often be lost when mixing in cocktails. Dirty Devil is smooth and ticklish to the throat, not harsh as some other vodkas can be when consumed full strength. So go ahead and try a sip straight up as your first pour, or add some ice to cool it down a bit. Then, when it comes time to entertaining guests, there’s no limit as to what can be created by way of cocktails. As a true Canadian, the classic Bloody Caesar is a holiday favourite, as is anything concocted with eggnog and dashes of nutmeg and cinnamon. With a bottle of Dirty Devil Vodka added to your home bar, there’s not telling what devilish antics will follow. A game of Twister perhaps?

The company is now also actively looking to expand its distribution network south of the border with the help of actor, director and producer Giancarlo Esposito. He will act as the Global Brand Ambassador and chief storyteller, helping to spread the word beyond its Quebec roots and into 28 U.S. states. “As a true vodka lover, not only am I honored but I am thrilled to be involved with such a revolutionary vodka brand that shares my passions for creativity, innovation, and being best of class,” said Esposito, who is best known for his roles in Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Mandalorian, The Boys, and Godfather of Harlem. He also had starring roles in films including The Usual Suspects, Malcolm X, Do the Right Thing, Mo’ Better Blues, Desperately Seeking Susan, Ali, and King of New York

Dirty Devil Vodka® (42% ABV) has won gold or double gold medals at major wine and spirits competitions worldwide. Dirty Devil Vodka® is produced by St. Lucifer Spirits, Morin-Heights, Quebec, and is imported by Trinity Wine & Spirits.  Available at the LCBO.
